Who we are
The Dunwich Town Trust charity was founded over 120 years ago to manage the assets of the dissolved, medieval Corporation of Dunwich in Suffolk. We maintain and enhance those assets and in various ways we use them to help individuals in need of assistance in Dunwich. We also support projects considered to be of benefit to the village as a whole.
Our aims
We aim to relieve hardship and enhance the general wellbeing of the inhabitants of Dunwich while adhering to the rules laid down by the Charity Commission. In very exceptional circumstances we can offer help to people or organisations outside the village if the trustees are satisfied that this upholds the aims and best interests of the charity.
What we do
We award grants to organisations or individuals to help fund projects which
benefit the community of Dunwich as a whole.
We also award grants to individual villagers for a variety of purposes such as education expenses, care alarm provision, fuel costs and emergency expenses which may arise.

Book our Fisherman's Hut
This exciting space in its fabulous setting in Dunwich is available on a weekly basis for artists and craftspeople to display and sell their wares and in the winter months it can be hired as a working studio.
